Crew offloaded DMF 600 machine weighing 103,000 lb
MEI riggers completed phase one of this machine install project in December of 2022 in Athens, GA. The crew offloaded the DMF 600 machine weighing 103,000 lb. utilizing a tandem lift with 600 ton cranes using spreader bars. The team picked the DMF 600 off the trailers, placed the machine on the ground and then skated the crate inside the factory building using a Versa Lift 100/140 for storage until Phase II was to begin. In March 2023 phase two of this project launched. Due to the size, weight, and composition of the DMF 600 machine, an overhead gantry pick was required to pick the machine from the base of the crate and set in place.
